What is it?
Mud fever is a bacterial inflammation of the skin on the horse's pastern. This inflammation tends to become chronic very quickly if left untreated. A compromised skin barrier due to excessive bacterial load is the cause of this often painful condition.
Where and how do we begin?
If mud fever is detected quickly, the basic cream is perfectly sufficient to restore the skin barrier to its normal state. In severe cases that have already become chronic, the CBD cream or, alternatively, the sensitive oil cream should be used. It is essential to strengthen the affected horse's immune system as well, and the cell powder, in combination with an herbal treatment, serves this purpose.
