What is it?
Laminitis, also known as laminitis, is an inflammatory condition of the sensitive laminae of the hoof, characterized by impaired blood flow and resulting in the separation of the hoof capsule from the laminae. Acute laminitis is a medical emergency requiring immediate treatment. During the acute phase, increased adrenaline release leads to vasoconstriction. If this inflammation persists for more than 48 hours, it is considered chronic laminitis. Consulting a veterinarian and a farrier is of utmost importance.
Where and how do we begin?
Apply Vera's CBD oil cream externally to the coronet band and massage drop by drop onto the ankles to support blood flow.
CBD oil 5% reduces pain and regulates inflammation.
The black cumin seed oil in Vera's CBD oil cream is known for its vasodilating effect. This allows the hoof to regenerate faster.
DMSO can be used to support and accelerate the process. Application of DMSO should begin with a 20% dilution and can be gradually increased in concentration. The advantage of combining it with DMSO lies in the transport of the active ingredients deeper into the tissue.
