Gingivitis in horses
Our son suddenly started shaking his head strangely, as if he wanted to shake something out of his mouth. His gums were also very red.
We then gave him Vera's basic cream at lunchtime. I applied it, and by evening he was calm and the redness was gone. The next day he was completely back to his old self.
The cause was likely poisoning from ants in the cut grass. The only officially approved treatment is cortisone.
